Flex-time and Telework: Our lawyers can develop flexible work schedules to help achieve a better balance between their professional and personal obligations.
Maternity Leave:  Our employees are eligible for 6-8 weeks of paid leave (at 60% of their salary).

FMLA:  We support FMLA, which entitles eligible employees to take unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons with continuation of group health insurance coverage under the same terms and conditions as if the employee had not taken leave.

Re-entry:  We offer career coaching and options for returning at a reduced hour schedule, on a case by case basis, specifically designed for caregivers transitioning back to the firm from maternity leave.

Attorney and Staff Appreciation

Our profession is characterized by demanding work and high stress over sustained periods. Success demands encouragement and there’s no encouragement like a meaningful thank you. Every year, we celebrate staff appreciation week and paralegal appreciation day. The tradition is punctuated by catered breakfasts and lunches typically served to the team by the partners, fun gifts and personal notes from the firm’s leadership. It’s just one of the ways we show our appreciation.

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig was founded in 2001 by two U.S. Army officers who left a more traditional firm to try and create an effective way to balance personal life satisfaction with the practice of law. We strongly believe that a balanced and job-satisfied attorney is the wisest counselor and the fiercest warrior. As such, we have a variety of firm-wide policies that encourage work-life balance. However, we realize that in order to be successful, we need to encourage our staff and say thank you.

Every year, we celebrate our staff with an annual Partner Sponsored Staff Appreciation Picnic. This tradition is a way for the firm leadership to recognize the attorneys, staff and their families for a job well done.
