  • Michael Lehr is an associate attorney who joined Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig PLLC in August 2019.  Since associating with the firm, Michael has engaged in a wide array of civil litigation matters, ranging from unlawful detainer and small claims actions litigated in Virginia’s General District Courts, to large-scale personal injury matters, insurance defense and coverage work, and largescale corporate breach of contract actions, including multiple involving shareholder disputes amongst closely held businesses.  Just recently, Michael second chaired a vigorously litigated arbitration matter for one of the firm’s premier corporate clients.
  • Additionally, Michael worked alongside the firm’s partners in a nationally publicized federal patent litigation, which resulted in multiple successful appeals to the Patent Trial and Appeals Board and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals – before resulting in a successful jury trial before the parties agreed to a substantial multi-million dollar settlement.
  • Michael has also worked with clients on a variety intellectual property litigation matters, including a number of trademark challenges, and a domain name registration dispute that resulted in a successful settlement for the firm’s client.
  • Michael actively represents his clients to the fullest extent possible, preserving their rights in all forms of civil litigation, and providing sound counsel in corporate transactional matters.
  • Michael then received his Juris Doctor from Washington & Lee University School of Law. While attending W&L Michael was a Chair on the Moot Court Executive Board and Sports Chair of the Sports Entertainment Intellectual Property Law Society (SEIPLS). As Moot Court Chair he oversaw the school’s appellate advocacy competition and competed or assisted in numerous external competitions. As Sports Chair Michael helped facilitate and compete in multiple sports focused external negotiations competitions. Prior to law school, Michael attended Christopher Newport University.
