Associate Attorney

Work- live – play. The balance betwixt the three is critical. Nothing that is worth having is easy, but it does not mean it should be drudgery. We have interesting cases all over the country in intellectual property, government contract, and a variety business and real estate matters. From our robust transactional team which handles everything from brewery and government contract startups to complex land deals and international patents and trademarks for Fortune 500 clients, the job is never dull. And oh yeah… we have air hockey, foosball and ping pong. We do team and firm happy hours. We do a firm baseball game, holiday party and all kinds of stuff. Love to learn? We want our associates to be flexible and cross trained in as much as they can handle. Our firm internally hosts once a month CLEs on every legal subject under the sun. If you are a self-starting, enjoy lots of autonomy, can work hard and make sure that you are more than just your job… we might be right for each other. We need resumes, writing samples and references – the three “R” sounds of recruiting.

Mid-Career Attorney

DBL + You = more money, fun and success. Frequently we meet attorneys who are damn good, but held down by their situation. They might like (or sometimes not) the people they work with and the firm they work for, but it is set up to keep associates as associates. If you are good at what you do and batting for the stands we would like to talk to you about making the practice of law unstuffy, fun and something you can own. Your book will stay your book – even as an associate. In fact we will go out of our way to teach you how to make a book, how to find and keep clients. Experienced Attorneys

With individualized compensation and technology that makes your law office move with you we can help you make a fresh start. We will build and capitalize on your profile and cross sell our clients to you. If you aren’t having fun and making money – you shouldn’t be doing it.

Transitional Attorneys

You have been there and done that? Well – there really isn’t any good option for most attorneys leaving the profession – whether for retirement or for greener pastures (seemingly) of private corporate counsel etc. Wait… there is a good option – DBL. We will work out a way to pay you a tailing fee for years on any clients you port to us. If you are retiring – retire with us. We have lawyers who want to “keep a hand in the game” but don’t want to be full time. We will take care of the heavy lifting and you can wine, dine and cultivate your client relationships – we will pay you on straight origination!
