George Hawkins practices in a comprehensive range of business and litigation matters. He focuses his practice on the representation of businesses and their management in complex litigation, including employer defense. He has tried many cases in all matters affecting real estate.

George also advises and counsels businesses in all aspects ranging from the formation, acquisition, and management of the business entity. He regularly advises those businesses on a wide variety of regulatory and industry concerns and has developed a loyal clientele in the real estate brokerage, agent, and property management sectors. He prefers... to resolve disputes through informal and formal mediation without resorting to litigation or arbitration but understands that sometimes the best decision is to fight or defend his client’s position.

George represents buyers, sellers, and developers in all phases of residential and commercial real estate transactions. He is AV®-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer-Review Ratings, the highest rating available for excellence in legal ethics and practice. George has served on Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® standard forms committee (2011-18) and was the 2015 Chair of that committee. He is the chair of NVAR’s Attorney Roundtable for 2019. He has also been elected to the VSB Board of Governors of the Real Property Section.

Paralegals and Legal Support Staff

At Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, our team of paralegals and staff work together collaboratively along side our attorneys toward a common goal. We have created a positive work environment where our paralegals and legal assistants work to successfully reach firm-wide goals and support each other to combine individual strengths to enhance team performance. They regularly assist our attorneys with organizing and maintaining files, conducting legal research, and preparing documents.
