OVERVIEW

Looking out for your company’s competitive edge

Competition drives progress and innovation. But being ahead means you’re always a target — and it also means that some companies may resort to unfair methods to get an advantage, whether that’s stealing ideas, technology, or customer lists or violating an agreement. It’s critical that businesses protect their most valuable secrets against these transgressions.

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig’s trade secret lawyers have assisted clients with all aspects of trade secret protection. Our experts work with businesses to determine trade secret status and then help clients take steps to protect those trade secrets. When possible, our firm’s intellectual property lawyers register clients’ intellectual property and help protect their competitive edge.

Our experience with trade secrets

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig’s trade secret lawyers focus on protecting your company and its livelihood. We counsel clients regarding their trade secrets, including their methods of conducting business, pricing, and lists of customers and suppliers. We advise businesses on how to safeguard their information through contracts and registration as trademarks, patents, and copyrights.

Our trade secret litigation lawyers help clients enforce and protect trade secrets and mitigate damages from trade secret leaks and disclosures. We have represented businesses in connection with matters involving reverse-engineered products, leaks of plans and source codes, and duplication of proprietary methods.

Our trade secret litigation team has defended and represented clients regarding claims of unfair competition and deceptive trade practices and have extensive experience conducting investigations of these claims. We have litigated, settled, and won cases for clients involving fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, and employee competition and solicitation.
