Biography

Ivan Pasarell-Jove was born and grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended Marquette University, where he graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Business Administration, with a double specialization in International Business and Marketing. After that, he attended law school at the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Law School in Puerto Rico and graduated in 1998 and has been practicing law since. After graduating from Law School, he was admitted to practice in the Puerto Rico Courts, the Federal Courts for the 1st Circuit, the Federal District of P.R, and the Federal Bankruptcy Court.

Before opening his own practice, he worked for 8 years in three Law Firms that specialized in Labor and Employment Law, Corporate Law, Contracts Litigation, and Administrative Law. In his practice, he has worked representing the private and public sectors in cases and matters related to labor law, trademarks, torts, foreclosures, bankruptcy, corporate litigation, and other matters.

Ivan has served as an Administrative Judge for the PR’s Department of State Trademarks and Commercial Name Office, and for the Economic Development Agency’s Commerce and Exports Office. He has represented various municipalities in PR in the Federal Courts and has tried successfully various cases before the P.R. Supreme Court. Ivan is also a Notary Public.
