Biography

Robert R. Gillispie is an attorney practicing in Northern Virginia (Loudoun County) and Northern Kentucky (Boone County). He holds a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from The George Washington University’s National Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts diploma from Boston University. Formerly in-house counsel for both publicly traded and privately held companies, Mr. Gillispie’s experience includes a broad spectrum of corporate practice, including corporate governance, transactional matters, and litigation. Throughout his career, Mr. Gillispie has also maintained an active immigration practice....> 

Mr. Gillispie previously served as General Counsel for Alltech Biotechnology Centre in Nicholasville, Kentucky and as Senior Attorney with Lexmark International in Lexington, Kentucky. In 2009, he founded The Gillispie Law Firm, P.C. in Leesburg, Virginia, practicing in the areas of business law, government contracting, immigration law, and estate planning.

    • Mr. Gillispie assists his clients in implementing estate plans structured for wealth preservation and probate management.  He also assists with elder law issues offering a broad range of solutions for individuals facing long-term health issues.  In addition to these services, Mr. Gillispie also represents clients in probate administration and with petitions for guardianship and conservatorship.
  • IMMIGRATION:
    • Mr. Gillispie has successfully represented both corporate and family-based immigration clients in obtaining immigration benefits.  His experience in Immigration Law includes: 
    • PERM – permanent residency for employees sponsored by their employers. 
    • L-1 – non-immigrant visas for employees with an existing relationship to their employer in a foreign country. 
    • H1B – non-immigrant visas for employees with Master and Bachelor degrees.
    • NIW – national interest waiver visas for employees with extraordinary qualifications. 
    • Alien Relatives – immigrant visas for spouses, children, parents and siblings.
    • Fiancé – visas for immigrants seeking to come to the US to marry their true love. 
    • Naturalization – permanent residents seeking to become US Citizens.
