Resolving disputes with minimal disruption

Risks are inherent in every construction project, whether loan defaults or contractor performance issues and supplier delivery issues. When these risks come to fruition, it can cause a waterfall effect that threatens the success of the project. Managing these risks demand skilled legal representation.

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig represents clients in construction disputes, including contract litigation, contract termination, insolvency, defect litigation, dispute resolution, lien perfection, and lien litigation. Our goals are to resolve disputes in a way that minimizes disruption and defend clients against claims of liability.

Our construction litigation experience

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig’s construction litigation lawyers have extensive experience representing construction and design industry professionals and the partners who engage them. Our goal is to help owners, builders, developers, construction companies, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and architects resolve disputes while avoiding any unnecessary risks, delays, and costs in the process.

Our construction litigation lawyers are well-versed in the legal issues and understand the technical issues that can be at the root of the dispute. Our law firm has litigated a variety of construction issues in state courts involving contractor fraud, payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, change orders, defects, and delay issues.

We also are skilled at helping our clients avoid litigation, devising strategies to stay out of the courtroom through our proactive thinking, settlement efforts, and practical experience with arbitration, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

What we do

  • Represent clients in construction disputes, including construction defect, warranty claim, fraud, misrepresentation, material nondisclosure, and breach of contract and delay litigation, before federal and state courts, arbitrators, and mediators
  • Release and enforce mechanic’s liens and payment bonds
  • Represent clients before the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation
  • Help clients avoid the costs and risks of litigation through proactive approaches, settlements, and alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration and mediation
