Our experience serving as local counsel in Virginia Circuit Courts

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig appears in state courts across Virginia. Our team is ready to offer advice on complicated and nuanced Virginia court procedures as well as provide paralegal support, perform research, prepare for oral argument, and facilitate discovery. Our lawyers understand how critical it is to retain competent local counsel, and we work closely with large law firms, midsize firms, small practices, and solo practitioners.

Our law firm also offers visiting lawyers conference space, staff, document support, office space, and access to local e-filing and dockets.

What we do

  • Serve as local counsel in circuit courts throughout Virginia, including circuit courts in Alexandria, Arlington, Chesterfield, Fairfax, Fauquier, Hanover, Henrico, Loudoun, Prince William, and Richmond
  • Offer local access to electronic filing and dockets that are not available to the general public, such as the Online Scheduling System for Fairfax County courts, the Court Public Access Network (CPAN) for Fairfax County, and the Electronic Filing System for the Fairfax Circuit Court and the electronic records system for Loudoun County
  • Offer advice on procedural issues and timelines
  • Handle substantive legal work as requested
  • Accompany lead counsel to scheduling hearings, depositions, and other meetings before circuit courts
  • Enhance and preserve lead counsel’s relationship with clients
