Biography

Erick represents companies and individuals in a wide variety of highly sophisticated litigation matters across the country.  He has assisted clients in complex matter ranging from contract disputes and insurance coverage to product liability claims, including achieving successful settlements of multimillion-dollar claims.

Having been selected to serve as an editor of his law school’s law review periodical, Erick is skilled at writing powerful and persuasive... briefs and at finding strong legal arguments to support his clients.  He routinely prevails at the federal courts of appeals based on the briefs he has drafted.

Prior to joining the firm, Erick gained over five years of experience working for the federal courts, serving in a prestigious federal judicial clerkship with a United States District Judge in the Eastern District of Virginia and as a federal staff attorney for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.  In this capacity, Erick advised federal trial and appellate judges regarding a full spectrum of legal issues.  As a result, Erick has unique “behind the scenes” insight into how courts operate and how judges make their decisions.

In addition to his work for the firm, Erick enjoys reading and visiting national parks and historic sites.  Erick is blessed to share his journey with his beloved wife and their two little boys.
