Biography

Mehera Nori (she/her) has dedicated her time and energy to advocating for underserved and underrepresented communities for over a decade. As a queer Indian-American woman with ties in the Seattle area and the San Francisco Bay Area, Mehera understands the uniqueness of navigating intersectional identities within a changing landscape. Mehera chose a career in law with the hopes of being able to empower others, and she has worked hard to gain the skills and resources to become a caring and effective advocate for the people.

Mehera’s past work includes extensive legal aid work with regional nonprofits, such as... the AIDS Legal Referral Panel and Bay Area Legal Aid in the San
Francisco Bay Area, where areas of expertise included eviction defense and tenant advocacy. She additionally has significant experience working in small firms and in government on issues related to estate planning and elder law. Mehera has also developed a compliance skillset with regards to healthcare and privacy law. Mehera enjoys having a broad range of legal knowledge and keeps herself up to date on changing laws and policies. She is motivated by a genuine desire to learn and best support her clients and community.

Mehera received her Bachelors of Arts degrees in political science and Spanish language and literature from Whitman College. She received her legal
education and JD from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Mehera is an active member of the Washington State Bar and is provisionally licensed under the California State Bar.

When not assisting clients with their legal needs, Mehera enjoys visual arts and illustration. She has participated in zine events, taught visual arts workshops both virtually and in-person, and has been published in a handful of chapbooks and comics anthologies. At Pride Law, Mehera supports clients with a number of legal matters, including estate and end-of-life planning, landlord-tenant issues, family contracts, and name and gender change orders. She holds compassion and empathy for all her clients and feels strongly about helping people meet their goals.

Intern Program

As part of our effort to recruit, develop and retail the best and brightest attorneys, Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig offers a summer intern program for promising law school students who are looking to work as part of an innovative and incredibly successful team. With a global team of lawyers, selected candidates are able to work on high level projects in a collaborative space.

Paralegals and Legal Support Staff

At Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, our team of paralegals and staff work together collaboratively along side our attorneys toward a common goal. We have created a positive work environment where our paralegals and legal assistants work to successfully reach firm-wide goals and support each other to combine individual strengths to enhance team performance. They regularly assist our attorneys with organizing and maintaining files, conducting legal research, and preparing documents.
