Thuan Tran was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and grew up in Falls Church, VA. He attended the University of Virginia, where he graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science & Government. Following this, he worked on antitrust matters as a Paralegal Specialist at the Department of Justice, Antitrust Section in the Healthcare & Consumer Products Section. Most notably, he worked on the Anthem-Cigna matter as it proceeded through trial and later on the AT&T-TimeWarner matter. Later, he attended law school at the Washington & Lee University School of Law, where he also worked as an intern for the Federal Trade Commission, Bureau of Competition in the Technology Enforcement Division, helping to research antitrust issues for the Facebook investigation.
