Overview

Covering the full cycle of the government contracting process

There’s no finish line when it comes to government contracts. Winning a bid is complicated enough, given the competition in the market and the need to pass background checks and security clearance investigations. Selected contractors then must ensure continued compliance with layered frameworks of government policies and regulations as they deliver on their obligations. Legal guidance isn’t an option; it’s a requirement to survive this process unscathed.

That’s where Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig thrives. Our experienced government contract attorneys help businesses navigate contracting complexities, strengthen compliance with laws and regulations, leverage their positions in negotiations, and maximize their chances of securing and executing government contracts. With Top Secret cleared and Armed Services veteran lawyers on our team, we frequently help clients in the intelligence and defense spaces.

Our experience in government contracts and compliance

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig advises businesses seeking government contracts across multiple industries. Our services encompass all phases of the procurement process, from solicitation and contract negotiation to performance, claims, and disputes filed in courts and with government agencies.

For example, our team has conducted cradle-to-grave government contract compliance audits and helped businesses develop a full system of internal controls to meet federal contract and regulatory requirements, including training executives, program teams, contracts and purchasing staff, human resources, security, and finance in how to implement the controls.

Our government contract attorneys have also defended clients against False Claim Act (FCA) allegations and identified issues for potential bid protests. We have prepared companies for Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSRs) by conducting internal audits, identifying gaps, and drafting policies, procedures, templates, and process documentation to meet Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) requirements. Our law firm has also worked with clients to develop a full scope of contract templates — including subcontracts, nondisclosure agreements, software licenses, reseller agreements, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, purchase orders, statements of work, master services agreements, employment agreements, lease agreements, and more — that protect our clients, promote successful negotiation, and balance business risk.
