OVERVIEW

Protecting your right to do business

If you or your company has received a notice of suspension or a notice of proposed debarment, this could render you ineligible to contract with the federal government. When your livelihood is on the line, you need a team of lawyers with deep experience in litigation with the government and with attention to detail.

The team at Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig understands the urgency behind and potentially drastic personal and business consequences of a suspension or debarment. That’s because our lawyers have worked inside the government as lawyers for the Department of Defense (DoD), National Security Agency (NSA), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and U.S. military (Army, Navy, and Marines).

Our experience with suspension and debarment

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig’s suspension and debarment lawyers represent government contractors who have received a notice of proposed suspension or debarment. Our law firm works with companies, corporate officers, and individual employees to help them address show cause notices, notices of proposed debarment, and notices of suspension. We also work with clients to address agency requests for information.

Our debarment attorneys work one-on-one with clients to mitigate the risk or win debarment and suspension cases outright. We have helped many clients successfully resolve potential suspensions and debarments so they can continue bidding on, receiving, and participating in federally funded contracts and programs. We firmly believe that our legal services are best used as a preventative measure rather than as a defensive measure.

What we do

  • Defend government contractors and subcontractors in debarment actions
  • Advise clients on how to establish present responsibility, including how to demonstrate their honesty, ethics, integrity, and competence
  • Respond to agency document requests
  • Draft responses to proposed debarments for civil judgments, criminal convictions, and conflicts of interest
  • Lead meetings with suspension and debarment officials
