Biography

Ryan Kennedy is a partner at Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, PLLC. His practice is focused on complex commercial and real estate litigation in the state and federal courts of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Kennedy regularly works with clients to solve a range of real property issues such as construction defects, title disputes, zoning matters, and landlord/tenant cases. He also advises individuals and entities regarding their contracting practices, litigation risks, and other regulatory issues. His approach is to solve problems without creating new ones, often helping clients to find another way forward... and avoiding the uncertainty of the courtroom.

Mr. Kennedy graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2006 and earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2009. After graduation, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Maureen M. Lamasney in the Circuit Court of Maryland for Prince George’s County. Before working at Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, Mr. Kennedy was a solo practitioner with offices in Annapolis, Maryland, and Vienna, Virginia. He has a wide range of litigation experience in the Washington-Baltimore metro area including jury trials, arbitrations, mediations, and complex motions practice. Mr. Kennedy has also handled multiple cases before the Court of Appeals of Maryland and local zoning authorities.
