Biography

Michael Shafer was born in Annapolis, Maryland and grew up in Fairfax, Virginia. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He followed this up by graduating from Harvard Law School in 2019, where he concentrated his studies on intellectual property, privacy, and cyber issues.

In law school, Michael worked as an intern for the Berkman Klein Center Cyberlaw Clinic as well as the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinic. Through these programs, Michael worked on such diverse matters as representing an artist accused of copyright infringement and assisting... the Grinnell College Ombudsman office in assessing its conflict resolution capabilities on campus.

In his spare time, Michael practices his drawing and gaming skills. He also takes every available opportunity to see the many bands that come through Richmond, Virginia.

Paralegals and Legal Support Staff

At Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, our team of paralegals and staff work together collaboratively along side our attorneys toward a common goal. We have created a positive work environment where our paralegals and legal assistants work to successfully reach firm-wide goals and support each other to combine individual strengths to enhance team performance. They regularly assist our attorneys with organizing and maintaining files, conducting legal research, and preparing documents.
