OVERVIEW

Avoiding the risks and costs of litigation

When a business has to deal with a commercial dispute, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) can be a cost-effective, efficient solution. ADR includes arbitration, mediation, and other methods of resolving disputes out of court. Some situations may be better suited for ADR than others, but sometimes a contract at the heart of the dispute will dictate how the matter must be resolved.

At Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, our goal is to help our clients avoid the risks and costs of litigation as well as the amount of time, energy, and exposure that comes with it. Our arbitration lawyers evaluate whether ADR is right for businesses and guide them through the process toward a favorable result.

Our arbitration and mediation experience

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig’s arbitration team is experienced in helping clients resolve business disputes outside of a courtroom through ADR. Our lawyers are well-versed in the complex rules governing various ADR methods and have the practical experience to help clients navigate the entire process with precision.

Our arbitration lawyers ensure that clients are well-prepared for arbitration, mediation, and other ADR proceedings. We regularly guide clients through ADR proceedings involving partnership disputes, shareholder disputes, contract disputes, real estate purchase and sale disputes, construction disputes, and employment disputes. We have experience with a variety of private arbitration and mediation forums and processes across the country and around the world, including the American Arbitration Association (AAA), NASD arbitration (now part of FINRA), JAMS, and Hong Kong International Arbitration (HKIAC).

We strive to keep our clients out of court when that is the best option. Our law firm’s experience and innovative thinking help our clients protect their interests while ensuring they have the time and resources to focus on their business.
